The Kowa LM1.7QS56 is a precision-engineered 1.7mm fixed focal length lens designed for use with compact vision systems and embedded imaging devices. Featuring an S-Mount interface, this lens supports 1/2.5" image sensors and delivers an exceptional 160 lp/mm center resolution, with 100 lp/mm at the edge. It offers sharp imaging across the frame and maintains minimal TV distortion of just -0.32%, making it ideal for tasks requiring high geometric accuracy such as object recognition, edge detection, and dimensional measurement.
Optimized for industrial and OEM vision platforms, the LM1.7QS56 has a focus range from 0.1 meters to infinity and a 4.0mm back focus in air. The standard aperture is f/5.6, and the lens performs reliably in environments ranging from -10°C to +50°C. Customization is available upon request, including alternate f-stop values, integrated IR-cut filters, and element gluing to increase vibration resistance. The LM1.7QS56 is part of Kowa’s LM-Q series and is purpose-built for high-resolution machine vision applications requiring compact optics.
