The Kowa LM5NS28 is a high-precision 5.0mm fixed focal length lens designed for compact embedded vision systems in UAVs, drones, and security surveillance devices. It supports up to 2MP resolution with 2.5µm pixel size sensors on a 1/1.8" format (9mm diagonal), delivering detailed image capture and excellent light performance with a fixed F/2.8 aperture. With a wide horizontal field of view of 72.4° and manual focus capability from 0.1 meters to infinity, this S-mount lens is ideal for applications that require space efficiency and consistent image clarity at various distances.

This lens supports visible spectrum imaging (400–800nm) and offers sharp optical performance with center resolution up to 200 lp/mm and 100 lp/mm at the image edge. Its durable design (Ø21.5 x 29.9mm, 12g) fits space-restricted environments like embedded camera modules and board-level security sensors. Designed for tough operational demands from -10°C to +50°C, the LM5NS28 can be optionally customized with glued optics for vibration resistance, IR cut filters, or mechanical/optical reconfiguration for niche surveillance, UAV, or vehicular vision systems.
